NHFD Smokehouse – sponsored by the New Haven Fire Department (and you can add their logo there)  – The NHFD has a large specialized training trailer with a smoke simulator, producing smoke that the kids get to crawl under, as part of fire safety education.  This trailer will be available in the Family Fun Zone to teach children that when they encounter smoke to stop, drop & crawl. This is a timely demonstration in that Parade Day is when daylight savings time starts, whenever you change your clocks you should also change the batteries in your smoke detectors! While the kids receive an education about fire safety parents will also benefit from the reminder about this important fire safety rule.

They will also be promoting the HUD funded lead hazard control program which assists homeowners with up to $9,000 per unit for lead abatement.
