2026 PARADE QUEEN AND HONOR ATTENDANT

The annual Greater St. Patrick’s Day Parade Queen Selection, sponsored by the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club in East Haven, was held on February 7, 2026. The 2026 Parade Queen is Caroline Pfaff. The 2026 Honor Attendant is Meghan Waterfield.

Caroline Pfaff, 2026 Parade Queen​
​​Caroline is the daughter of Kara Roxbee and Timothy Pfaff the granddaughter of Eileen and Kevin Roxbee. She resides in Madison and her ancestors hail from Counties Cork, Donegal, Kildare, and Mayo, Ireland. She is employed by the Westport Public Schools as an eighth-grade Special Education teacher. Caroline graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology in 2025 (Go Huskies!). She is actively involved with Unified Sports, which directly reflects her personal ambition to advocate for inclusion and create meaningful opportunities for all students and athletes. As a first-year teacher, Caroline’s goal is to establish a Unified program at her school. In her free time, Caroline enjoys sports such as skiing and soccer and is a passionate UConn Women’s Basketball fan. She also enjoys yoga, going to the gym, traveling, and spending time with her family at their lake. Caroline is deeply committed to philanthropy through organizations such as Girls on the Run. Caroline is a member of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.

Meghan Waterfield, 2026 Honor Attendant​
​​Meghan is the daughter of Caryll and Gregory Waterfield. She resides in West Haven and her ancestors hail from Counties Kildare, Offaly, Meath, and Armagh, Ireland. She is employed by Yale New Haven Hospital as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Meghan is a 2023 graduate of Sacred Heart University. Her personal ambition is to make a positive impact on her community through service, to inspire young people to reach their full potential, and to uplift others through her work in healthcare. In her free time, Meghan enjoys coaching youth cheerleading, skiing, and pottery. She is a member of the West Haven Irish American Club.

Parade Queen and Honor Attendant

A New Haven Irish Tradition since 1956. The Parade Queen and Honor Attendant are a proud iconic feature of the parade sponsored by the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club and Irish-American Community Center in East Haven.

Selected from contestants from the four Associated Irish Societies, New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club, Knights of St. Patrick, Ancient Order of Hibernians (Fr. McKeon Div.), and West Haven Irish American Club. The Parade Queen and Honor Attendant represent all four organizations for the year.

2023 Parade Queen Sierra O'Keefe

Sierra O'Keefe, 2023 Parade Queen

Sierra Grace O’Keefe is the daughter of Shawn and Laurie O’Keefe. She lives in Milford and her ancestors hail from County Galway.  She is a 2022 Graduate of Assumption University. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology.  Currently, she is a Doctor of Optometry candidate at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with plans to graduate in 2026. Sierra’s personal ambition is to open an optometry practice. Once acquired, she wishes to use her doctorate to treat those in need both locally and globally while empowering patients to be active members in their healthcare journey. When not studying, her interests include community service, and being an active member of her school’s Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity as well as the American Academy for Optometry. Sierra also enjoys crocheting, cooking, golf and spending time with loved ones. Her parents are members of the West Haven Irish American Club.

2023 Parade Honor Attendant Tessa Mackey

Tessa Mackey, 2023 Honor Attendant

Tessa Mackey is the daughter of Wendy Mackey and the late John Joe Mackey. She lives in Guilford and her ancestors hail from County Kilkenny and County Cork. Tessa is a 2020 graduate of Brown University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and English. She is currently employed by
Airbase as a Sales Development Representative. Tessa is in the midst of transitioning her career to teaching high school English, which ties into her personal ambition of building a career around helping and encouraging others. Her interests include playing Gaelic football and hockey. She also enjoys singing, baking, storytelling and reading historical fiction novels. Tessa is a member of the New Haven Gaelic Football & Hurling Club.

Parade Button 2026The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade is Connecticut’s largest single day spectator event attracting more than 325,000 people to the streets New Haven each year. The Parade is a longstanding tradition in the New Haven community, and the members of the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee volunteer to ensure the tradition continues.
